Connaught Place removed as route for CWG cycling test event

New Delhi, Aug 26 (PTI) With just two days to go for the test event for cycling, the Commonwealth Organising Committee is learnt to have taken Connaught Place out from its route as construction work is yet to be over in the bustling shopping area. Sources in Delhi Police said that Connaught Place has been removed from the route as the work in the market was on. "We have been informed about it by the OC," they said. The new route for the cycling test event will be YMCA, Parliament Street, Central Vista and Rajpath. Earlier the route included the Inner and Outer Circle of Connuaght Place, which was built in 1931.
