London, Aug.8 (ANI): Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul is unlikely to miss the rest of the Test series against England after suffering a hamstring injury during the ongoing second Test at Edgbaston.

Gul sustained a hamstring injury on the second day of the Test which forced him to walk out of the field.

"Umar has gone to hospital for an MRI and we will know later how long he will be out for but he will not play again in this game," team manager Yawar Saeed told a foreign news agency.

Left-arm speedster Wahab Riaz is on stand-by and is likely to replace Gul in the third match starting at The Oval on August 18. (ANI)
