New Zealand set India 289-run win target

Dambulla, Aug 10 (IANS) New Zealand were bowled out for 288 runs in 48.5 overs against India in their One-day International (ODI) tri-nation cricket series opener here Tuesday.

Winning the toss and batting, New Zealand's innings were boosted by the 113-ball 95 by skipper Ross Taylor and Scott Styris' 89.

For India, Ashish Nehra took four for 47 and Praveen Kumar three for 43.
