Karachi, Aug 14(ANI): The Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) has been accused of issuing permission on the organization's letterheads for sending fake players abroad.

It is alleged that certain PBF officials were involved in facilitating illegal immigration by showing a number of people as badminton players for visa issuance.

According to The Nation, many of those people did not return home with the team.

Meanwhile, the PBF's special general body convened a meeting in Islamabad to discuss the issue.

The meeting agreed to suspend PBF Senior Vice President Naqi Mohsin and Secretary Aamir Hayat Rokri, and carry out an enquiry with the support of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).

A committee has been set up and given six weeks to look into the allegations.

Further action would be taken after the committee submits its report. (ANI)
