Jharkhand take 1st innings lead against Tripura

Dhanbad(Jharkhand), Oct 12 (PTI) Jharkhand today took vital first innings lead against Tripura in the second day of the four-day CK Nayudu under -22 cricket being played at Digwadih stadium here. A fine spell of medium pace bowling V Arron (56/5) helped Jharkhand to take 50 runs lead. Tripura were all out for 151 in their first innings in reply to Jharkhands 201. At the stump of second day Jharkhand were 113 for 2 in 44.3 overs in their second innings. Akash Verma was unbeaten on 59 while Ajit Dwivedy was on 9. Nishant Kumar and Gurjeet Singh were dismissed for 29 and 12 respectively. Earlier resuming their over night score of 33 for 1 visiting Tripura team were bundled out for 151. N Sen Chaudhary was highest scorer with 27 runs while Samrat Singha contributed 26 run consisting four hits to fence. Kaushal Acharjee chipped in 23 run. Arron was most successful bowler for Jharkhand claiming five wicket haul conceding 56 run in 13 over spell. Ashif Fahad took four wickets for 31 runs in 13.4 over. Jharkhands Akash Verma completed his half century in 112 balls with the help of 7 four. Brief Score Jharkhand 201 and 112/2 in second inning Tripura 151.
