Mumbai, Oct 26 (PTI) The I-League matches involving three city-based clubs are likely to be shifted to the South Western Maharashtra city of Kolhapur and the Western India Football Association is awaiting the final go-ahead from the AIFF. "We have proposed to hold these matches in Kolhapur as we are starting our work to lay the artificial turf (sanctioned by FIFA) at the Cooperage ground very soon. The AIFF team will visit Kolhapur on November 1 before a final decision will be taken on the matter," said WIFA Assistant Secretary Wali Mohammed today. Mohammed said that none of the three teams which have Cooperage ground in South Mumbai as their home turf for I-League matches -- Air India, Mumbai FC and newly promoted ONGC -- have raised any objections to playing at Kolhapur. "No one has raised any objection," he said. The fourth club from the state of Maharashtra that will play in I-League this season is Pune FC which has the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex ground at Balewadi as its home venue.
