New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS) Showcasing unforgettable moments of grit and determination, victory and joy, a brief video presentation Thursday nostalgically reprised the 2010 Commonwealth Games, as the audience at the packed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium watched in awe during the closing ceremony of the Oct 3-14 mega event.
The video footage shown on giant screens at the multi-hued stadium also captured team spirit and sportsmanship and the bonds of friendship formed between the participating athletes from 71 nations and territories.
The video started with Oscar winning composer A.R Rahman's Games theme song 'Utho,bado,khelo, jeeto', and gave a fast-paced account of swimmers wading through water like fish, boxers engaging in a flurry of punches in the ring and athletes sprinting to glory or jumping to the gold during the Games, which will be ever etched in the memory of all indians.
The resolve of para-athletes to triumph against all odds was also brought out during the video presentation that followed the parade of athletes.
