Karachi, Oct 19 (PTI) Pakistan former captain and senior batsman Muhammad Yousuf has become a doubtful starter for the forthcoming one-day and Twenty20 series against South Africa in the United Arab Emirates. Sources said that Yousuf had strained his hamstring and had taken rest from the training camp currently underway in Lahore. "The initial MRI scans have shown that he has suffered ''Grade A'' injury that will require two to three weeks for a complete recovery," a source said. He said this basically meant that the senior batsman was ruled out of the one-day series in Abu Dhabi and Dubai that begins from October 26. Pakistan team manager Intikhab Alam today told the reporters that he couldn''t immediately give a definite report on Yousuf''s fitness but would keep the media updated on his injury situation. The conditioning camp is being held to prepare the selected players for the coming series that includes two Twenty20 matches, five one-dayers and two Tests. The first T20 match will be held as a charity fund raiser for the flood victims in Pakistan. Sources added since the selectors had already finalised a 17-member squad for the one-day and T20 series against the Proteas, they would not announce a replacement for Yousuf who would be fit in time for the Test series next month. Intikhab said that opener Shahzaib Hasan, who was a late inclusion in the squad, also reported for the camp today. PTI Corr SHN
