100 riders to take part in National Supercross Championship

Kolhapur, Nov 27 (PTI) The fifth round of the MRF National Supercross Championship 2010, the biggest off-road two-wheeler racing event in India, will be held here tomorrow. About 100 riders from all over the country are expected to take part in the event, to be held at Mohite''s Racing Academy in this southwestern Maharashtra city. The meet will be organised by Sportstrek, Pune, in association with the Mohite''s Racing Academy. The first four rounds were held in Bangalore, Coimbatore, Jaipur and Vadodara. The names to watch out for are C S Santosh (TVS Racing), who is leading the championship with 137 points in the most prestigious foreign open class, closely followed by C D Jinan, a private rider from Kerala (116 points). The participants will be fighting for honours in seven categories: foreign open, novice, locals, private experts, private foreign open and two classes of Indian experts. PTI COR RSY AH
