New Delhi, Nov 19 (PTI) India''s Gautam Kar has been nominated for the AFC Match Commissioner of the Year 2010 award, the AIFF said today. The other nominees are Abdul Ghafoor Abdul Hameed of Maldives and Talal A Syailmeen of Jordan. The AFC Match Commissioner of the Year will be honoured at the AFC Annual Award ceremony to be held in Kuala Lumpur on November 24. An elated Kar said, "The nomination itself is an award for me. To be among the top three Match Commissioner of Asia means a lot to me. But at the same time, it''s also an additional responsibility to keep performing better." "Being an Indian, I feel proud to contribute something to the Asian Football Administration," added Kar. Congratulated Kar, AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das said, "It''s a matter of great pride for us in the football fraternity that Col. Gautam Kar has been nominated for this coveted award and I wish him all the best." PTI PDS
