Hyderabad beat Tripura by an innings

Hyderabad, Nov 19 (PTI) Thanks to a brilliant bowling display by D Raviteja and Kanishk Naidu, Hyderabad today won their Ranji Trophy Plate League match against Tripura by an innings and 35 runs here. Resuming at overnight score of 277 for four, the host team went on to make 312 runs in their first innings. Though Sandeep Reddy (76) returned to the pavilion without making any addition to his overnight score, M A Khader helped the team reach 312 by making a valuable 20 runs. However, other batsmen Ibrahim Khaleel (6), Alfred Absolem (0), A Lalith Mohan (0) and Kanishk Naidu (0) were dismissed cheaply. Tripura were earlier all out for 140 in their first innings. In their second innings, Tripura were dismissed for a paltry 137 thanks to Raviteja''s superb five-wicket haul. Kanishk Naidu, who took four wickets in Tripura''s first innings, came up with another splendid performance by claiming three wickets to break the back of the visitors. Alfred Absolem and Lalith Mohan took one wicket each. Among Tripura bowlers, Rana Dutta scalped five wickets, while TK Chanda took three wickets. J Debnath and RH Saha took one wicket each. With the victory, Hyderabad bagged six points while Tripura pocketed none. Brief Scores: Tripura 140 and 137; Hyderabad 312.
