Shimla, Nov 10 (PTI) The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) has finalised 70 venues across the state for holding matches of the second cricket Mahasangram Jaypee Twenty20 here. The technical team of HPCA alongwith district office bearers has finalised the 70 venues, fifteen more than last year as a large number of teams have already confirmed their participation while the last date for sending entries was November 18, Vishal Marwah, honorary general secretary of HPCA said. The main purpose of organising this tournament was talent hunt so that the budding cricketers from remote areas could be identified and groomed for competitive cricket, he added. "We are also approaching the Limca book of records and the Guiness book of records for inclusion of the largest tournament as number of participants and logistics to be worked out was as enormous task," Mohit Sood said. All the state functionaries and district office bearers had been asked to personally supervise and execute all the logistics required for smooth and successful conduct of the tournament.
