Abu Dhabi, Jan 21(ANI): Australian golfer Geoff Ogilvy has advised scandal-hit Tiger Woods not to air his dirty linen in golf's public arena.
Ogilvy said the billionaire sportsman should find another forum for bringing his circus to town.
"I think he should come out (of hiding) away from a golf course, one, out of respect for all of the other players, and two, to defuse the circus part of it," The Times quoted Ogilvy, as saying.
"That would be the best thing for him, for every other player and the tournament. I don't believe a lot of tournaments want all the tabloid media floating around. It would still be big and crazy, but that tabloid edge might be gone," he added.
The 2006 US Open champion further said that Woods, who is taking an indefinite break from professional golf, would have to confront many questions before playing again. His first conference is going to be the crazy one. A lot of people who have been afraid to ask questions for ten or 12 years won't be quite as hesitant as they used to be. And he is going to have to answer questions," Ogilvy said.
Woods withdrew from public scene after his extramarital affairs shattered his marriage, following which he allegedly checked into a rehabilitation centre for sexual addiction in Mississippi.
He was recently reported to be planning a comeback with the Tavistock Cup in US in March. (ANI)
