Mumbai, Feb 1 (PTI) Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan congratulated ace tennis player Leander Paes for winning the Australian Open mixed doubles title. In a congratulatory message to Paes, the Governor said, "the entire nation is proud of you for your spectacular win at the Australian Open Mixed Double title match. "The victory is particularly special as it is the 11th Grand Slam title won by you in your illustrated career. You are truly a warrior, who despite carrying the burden of expectations of a billion plus population of India, have always elevated your performance to win a crucial matches for the nation. "On behalf of people of Maharashtra and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on your achievement and wish you glorious success in your future career," he added.
