Netherlands and Uruguay, both with two players suspended, made several changes for their World Cup semi-final at Green Point Stadium on Tuesday.

Joris Mathijsen returns to the centre of the Dutch defence in place of Andre Ooijer after missing the quarter-final win over Brazil with a knee injury.

Right back Khalid Boulahrouz and holding midfielder Demy de Zeeuw replace suspended Gregory van der Wiel and Nigel de Jong.

For Uruguay, Diego Godin returns to central defence, with captain Diego Lugano missing out through injury, while Martin Caceres makes his first appearance of the finals by coming in at left back in place of the suspended Jorge Fucile.

With striker Luis Suarez also banned after the quarter-final win over Ghana, coach Oscar Tabarez has opted to reinforce the midfield with Walter Gargano and bring back Alvaro Pereira while fielding a two-man attack of Diego Forlan and Edinson Cavani.
