Kochi, Jul 15 (PTI) Jaseer Karnath will lead Kerala in the 64th Senior National Football championship for Santosh Trophy which began at Kolkatta today. Announcing the team, Kerala Football Association President K M I Mather told reporters that they have included new faces in Sarath K, Anus, Surjith VV, Sarath B T, Johnson N, Prince Poulose, Sumesh N and Rakesh K in the team. "Since it was off season, not much practice matches could be held. However the association is optimistic about the team''s good performance," he said. Kerala, in Group VII, will open their campaign against Uttrakhand on July 22. Assam and Himachal Pradesh are the other two teams in the group. The team will leave for Kolkatta on Sunday.
