The Chandigarh Chess Association (CCA) will organise the XIX National Under-25 Chess Championship on behalf of All India Chess Federation in Chandigarh from the October 12 to 18 at St Xavier's School, Sector 44, Chandigarh. This is for the first time that the mega chess event would be held in this region. FIDE-rated players like International Master (IM) Rahul Sangma (Delhi) and Woman International Master (WIM) Kiran Monisha Mohanty (Orissa), along with Himal Gusain, the highest rated player in Chandigarh, will take part in the event.
