Guangzhou, Nov 13 (IANS) Indian weightlifters competing in the women's 48kg and men's 56kg category failed to win a medal on the opening day of the competition at the Asian Games here Thursday.
Soniya Chanu lifted a total weight 170 kg while Devi Atom managed 158kg to finish 5th and 6th, respectively, in the 48kg category event.
The gold medal went to Chinese Mingjuan Wang, who lifted 210 kg. Pensiri Laosirikul
