Sat, Nov 13 10 08:53 PM

Perinthalmanna (Kerala), Nov 13 (PTI) Resolute batting by Jammu and Kashmir captain Abid Nabi (30 not out) and Khajuria (30 not out), who defied Kerala bowlers for 49.4 overs, helped the visitors eke out a draw in the final day of their Ranji Trophy Plate League Group B match here today. Resuming at the overnight score of 59 for three, J&K were reeling at 152 for seven at one stage before Nabi and Khajuria joined hands and saved the day for the visitors with a valuable unbeaten 63-run eighth-wicket stand to ultimately finish at 215 for seven. The duo thwarted all Kerala captain Robert Fernandez''s every trick. Though Fernandez used eight bowlers, the duo rose to the occasion and played cautiously to pocket a point from the match. While Kerala earned three points by virtue of their first innings lead, J&K collected one point. Brief scores: J&K 173 and 215/7 (Jeelani 46, A Nabi 30 not out, Khajuria 30 not out, Sreejith 2/41, S K Nair 2/15) Kerala: 393/9 (decl).
