New Delhi, March 6 -- Chief Executive Officer of the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Mike Hooper, said there would be no change in the dates and venue for the road cycling and marathon event for the 2010 Games. There have been speculations about shifting the event out of Delhi after the Delhi Police had shown concerns over blocking the roads for the two events saying it wouldn't be feasible for them to block the entire rout. "As of now there are no changes in the dates and venue of the road cycling and marathon events of the Games. We are going as per the decided schedule," said Mike Hooper on the sidelines of the Hockey World Cup on Friday.
"I am happy with the security arrangements during the Hockey World Cup and recently-held Commonwealth Shooting Championship," he added. On the security issue he said: "We are getting inquiries from NOCs but everybody will be satisfied. We are closely working on the security issue with the Commonwealth Games Federation security advisor."
