Coimbatore, Apr 14 (PTI) The 36th men and 28th women Senior National Powerlifting Championship would be held here in August. The five-day Championship, beginning from August 4, would have 19 categories -- 10 for men and nine for women -- in which about 450 men and 150 women are expected to participate, Mohan Sankar, president of Coimbatore District powerlifting Association told reporters here today. He released the mascot --the Nilgiri Thar -- of the championship on the occasion.
