Walcott says not impossible to win Premier League

London, Apr 14 (ANI): Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has said it will take something special for his club to capture the Premier League title.

Walcott believes his team needs to win all five of their remaining Premier League games to claim the top spot.

Admitting that it will be a difficult task, the 21-year-old England winger said it is not mission impossible for Arsenal's young squad.

Walcott said: "I believe we will stay together. We have been through some experiences and now we need to start winning trophies. You never know in football but, fingers crossed, people will stay."

"We are all really close. We all do well in training and work hard for each other. We play fantastic football at times but we need to kill teams off and grind out a result. We have done that recently in our matches at Hull and Stoke," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

"The match at Spurs could also be one of those type of matches. I will be happy if we win 1-0 but play rubbish. It is all about results. No one remembers the dirty games if you win the league. It's finishing top that matters.

"We need to win every game but it is possible. It would be so great to have a Premier League winner's medal at home on my mantelpiece," Walcott said.

"I saw the Manchester United game at Blackburn on Sunday and I could see the disappointment on Alex Ferguson's face. It shows it's a very tough league, particularly when you go away from home. The support of the fans is like an extra man.

"That is why going to Spurs will be difficult. They can have a big influence on this league. They are chasing fourth with Manchester City and also have to play United and Chelsea," he added. (ANI)
