London, Aug 06 (ANI): Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney will not face charges after he urinated on the street.
No prosecution will be brought against party animal Rooney because no one made a formal complaint about his antics outside a Manchester bar. ooney was photographed peeing next to bottle bank outside the fashionable Panacea nightspot.
The 24-year-old footballer was out with wife Coleen and he could only have been prosecuted if caught in the act by officers or following complaints.
Furious boss Sir Alex Ferguson berated the star during training, but refused to criticise him publicly.
"There is currently no bylaw in place to prevent urinating in public, however, if witnessed, the matter can be dealt with under the Public Order Act," The Sun quoted Chief Inspector Chris Hill, of Greater Manchester Police, as saying.
"At this stage no witnesses to the incident have complained to the police so the individual is not facing prosecution," he added. (ANI)
