Melbourne, Oct 1 (PTI) Veteran Australian hockey player Jamie Dwyer has sent an SOS to his wife back home to immediately send him a bag of playing kit after his gears got stuck in Singapore airport on way to Delhi for the upcoming Commonwealth Games starting Sunday. Dwyer landed in Delhi on Wednesday night with the Kookaburas in search of their fourth consecutive gold medal since hockey''s introduction in the Games in 1998. But after landing here, the striker found out that his playing kit has not arrived and has been practising by borrowing gears from his teammates. "I have asked my wife in Australia to send me some things, sticks and shoes, and I hope I get something one way or another," the two-time world player of the year was quoted as saying by ''The Australian'' newspaper. Dwyer was hoping that his gears would arrive before Australia''s opening match against Scotland on October 6, failing which it might affect his performance. "It has a different weight and balance point to others," he said.
