Guangzhou, Nov 15 (PTI) India came back strongly in the third and fourth quarters to beat Afghanistan 83-76 in a closely contested match to qualify for the group stage of basketball competition in the Asian Games here today. India were trailing 14-16 and 30-38 at the end of first and second quarters before staging a comeback. They levelled the score at 53-53 at the end of the third quarter before running away 83-76 winners at the end of the fourth quarter. India are now placed in Group F along with Qatar, Iran, Japan, Chinese Taipei and Philippines. They take on Qatar tomorrow in their first group match. PTI PDS SHN
