Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 3 (PTI) The Kerala government today announced cash awards to five athletes who won medals at the 19th Commonwealth Games at New Delhi. Addressing a press conference after a cabinet meeting, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said athletes who won gold medals would be presented with Rs 10 lakh, while those who won silver and bronze would receive Rs 7.50 lakh and Rs five lakh respectively. Coaches would be given Rs One lakh each, he said. The athletes who won medals at Commonwealth Games are M A Prajusha, Ranjit Maheswari, Shamirmon, Sini Jose and P K Priya.
