Abu Dhabi, April 7 (IANS/WAM) An international marathon to be held in New York City May 15 will raise funds for a kidney research centre in Abu Dhabi.
The Zayed International Charity Marathon will be launched in New York by General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and the deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The UAE embassy in Washington D.C., which is organising the event in the memory of the founder of the UAE Armed Forces Officers' Club, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, also announced a special incentive for the runner who breaks the world record.
