Bangalore, Apr 7 (PTI) UB Group Chairman and owner of Royal Challengers, Bangalore, Dr Vijay Mallya today said that sports is a great investment and would be "the next big value creator". "India''s young demographic, coupled with exciting sporting events, are going to drive sports as a great value creator. Sports has generated huge interest and publicity related income," he told reporters here. Asked about his satisfaction with his sporting ventures, he said, "We have made the right investment at the right time." "If there is an IPL equivalent football tomorrow, I will be the most happiest person in the world", he said. On his son Siddharth joining in, Mallya said he was expected to join UB as deputy general manager (deputy general manager, USL). He said Siddarth was interesteed in marketing and "IPL would be a good window to learn and go up the learning curve". Siddharth''s passion for cricket and the fact that he (Mallya) himself could not be there at all sporting events and a combination of various factors had him roping in his son. On Anil Kumble, he said, "Our faith in Anil Kumble is well reposed".
