Newton Square (Pennsylvania), July 4 (IANS) Arjun Atwal, the first round co-leader, dropped further down the leaderboard to tied 20th at the end of the third round of the AT&T National golf. The Indian carded a one-over 71, which saw him at one-under for the three days.

Justin Rose, winner of the Memorial last month, had run up a four-shot lead at the top after his third round three-under 67 Saturday.

He was at 10-under 200 - the only player to reach double digits under par all week on an Aronimink course that is among the toughest PGA TOUR layouts.

Rose was four shots ahead of Carl Pettersson, who had a 65, and Charlie Wi, who had a 70. Atwal was one-under 209.

Atwal's fall was largely due to his inability to find the greens as often as he did on the first day, when he shot a 66. From hitting 78 percent of greens Thursday he dropped to 56 percent the last two days.

Atwal had just one birdie and two bogeys in his third round.

He birdied the seventh, but dropped immediately after that on eighth and then another bogey came his way on 11th.

Tiger Woods, in his final tournament before the British Open, shot an even-par 70. He is three-over 213.
