Porto Alegre (Brazil), July 4 (DPA) Carlos Dunga said Sunday he planned to discuss his future with the Brazilian Football Federation, suggesting his days as Brazil coach may not be over yet.
'I have to wait for (federation) president Ricardo Teixeira to return from South Africa next week. Then I will talk to him and decide,' he said from the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre.
Dunga had suggested he would quit as coach following his side's shock elimination from the World Cup after a 1-2 defeat to the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
'Everybody knew from the start that my contract was for four years,' Dunga said immediately after Friday's match.
Dunga was appointed to the position to replace Albert Parreira following Brazil's defeat at the same stage in the 2006 World Cup.
Speculation over Dunga's possible replacement has revolved around Felipe Scolari, who led Brazil to World Cup victory in 2002, and former AC Milan coach Leonardo.
