New Delhi, Jul 4 (PTI) The Indian girls could not maintain their winning momentum and suffered a 34-47 defeat against Sri Lanka in a preliminary league round match at the seventh Asian Youth Netball Championship here today. The Indians, who beat Thailand yesterday, failed to held on to their nerves in crucial moments and suffered a 5-16, 12-08, 05-09, 12-14 defeat on the second day of the tournament, which is also a test event for the October 3-14 Commonwealth Games. Meanwhile, Singapore beat Hong Kong 66-19 (16-01, 19-06, 13-5, 18-07), while Thailand suffered their second defeat in as many days against Malaysia.
