London, July 5(ANI): Ahead of Monday's opening Twenty20 game against Pakistan in Birmingham, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson has said that the 2009 Twenty20 World Cup champions are a dangerous side because of their strong batting and bowling line-ups.
"We smashed them in Australia (earlier this year) and Mike Hussey did an amazing job in that last Twenty20 game we played against them. They've got a good bowling attack," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Johnson, as saying.
"Their left-armer (Mohammad) Aamer is a great prospect for them. He's been doing exceptionally well. Shoaib (Akhtar) is over as well, and he's been bowling very fast, so they've got a pretty strong bowling attack."
"They've got some fire with their batting, with the Akmal brothers. They're a dangerous side, when they want to be," he added.
Johnson further said that he has fully recovered from his elbow infection, and dismissed speculations that his elbow complaint was related to a new tattoo he had inked before the Twenty20 World Cup in the West Indies.
"I wouldn't have thought so. I got the tattoo three weeks before I travelled away (to the West Indies), so that ruled that out. I got to the West Indies and I felt like I knocked it on the plane, but I'm not 100 per cent sure," Johnson said.
"It started off as a little bursa, a little sac of fluid, and then progressed from there. We're not really 100 per cent sure how it came and got infected. It could have been a few things, whether the knock was part of it or not. I had a cortisone injection to try and clear it out, whether that had anything to do with it as well," he added.
The tour also includes another Twenty20 game and two Tests. (ANI)
