India accelerates for Formula Championship 2011

Chennai, December 02 (ANI): MRF, one of the leading tyre manufacturers of India, on Wednesday announced the schedule of Formula Championship 2011, which is to be held in Chennai. The managing director of MRF Tyres, Arun Mammen, announced that the 2011 leg of the championship will be bigger than its maiden season in 2010 with the addition of 12 racing cars against 10 to last season, making 22 drivers in total. The championship with eight races in all will see the first six to take place at Madras Motor Race Track on February 5, 6, 12 and 13, and the final two at the Jaypee International Circuit, Noida on October 29 and 30.
