He makes a 'pretty' picture at post- match IPL parties

By day, Lalit Modi is the no-nonsense, BlackBerry-toting cricket commissioner, lording over the Indian Premier League (IPL) and keeping its cash registers ringing.

By night, however, he turns into a party boy, cavorting with the prettiest women in the world.

Modi was recently spotted with the 1992 Miss Universe, Michelle McLean, at the IPL Nights after-hours party in Chennai.

This wasn't the first time McLean had shown up in the company of Modi. The first and only Namibian to wear the Miss Universe crown - she'd trumped India's Madhu Sapre (who was the second runner-up) - she gave away the Miss Bollywood IPL crown to English model Dune Kossatz in Johannesburg at the finale of IPL-2. She'd also performed to the music of Caribbean legend Eddy Grant and shaken a leg with Modi at the dazzling event.

But unlike the other beauty queens, who make lofty statements only to bag the title, McLean founded the Michelle McLean Children's Trust in Namibia that has been funding the education of underprivileged children since 1992.

McLean wasn't the only pretty woman spotted in Modi's company at the afterhours parties. Mumbai-based fashion designer Nandita Mehtani, who's better-known as young industrialist Sunjay Kapoor's former wife, was also seen keeping Modi amused at one of the parties.

In a recent interview with Mail Today over his muchtravelled BlackBerry, Modi had said the IPL kept him so busy that he had very little time to sleep.

We now know the real reason why. Guys who work hard, party harder.
