New Delhi, Sep 30(ANI): Australia's Commonwealth Games team chief Steve Moneghetti has said that he would reassure athletes about the upgraded travel advisory issued by his country.

Australia in its latest travel advisory has warned that the risk of a terrorist attack in New Delhi was high.

"I will speak to the high commission here, they're our go-to people, and reassure the athletes," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Moneghetti, as saying.

He however admitted that he was comfortable with the level of security being provided for the October 3-14 Games in the Indian capital.

"I'm very happy or I'd change it. We're happy we've got our security person, our athletes are all briefed about security when they arrive and there's a feeling of confidence about the way we've addressed that and the way the security has been conducted during the Games," Moneghetti said.

Australia has topped the gold and total medal tallies at the past five Commonwealths, and is expected to once again be the number one nation. wimming, track and field, field hockey and cycling are generally prolific medal-yielding sports for Australia, while the nation has high expectations in gymnastics, diving, netball, tennis and boxing.(ANI)
