New Delhi, Oct 5 (PTI) Noted personalities from sports and film showered praise on shooters Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang, who won gold in the 10-metre air rifle pairs event in the Commonwealth Games here today. Legendry singer Lata Mageshkar congratulated the duo on her twitter page, saying "I am happy to know that Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang have won gold medal in CWG. My heartiest congratulations to them." The duo, who fired a Games record of 1193 points, also got praise from tennis stars Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza. "Super stuff by Abhinav Bindra and Gagang Narang. Congrats to Bindra and Narang who secure India''s 1st CWG gold medal.," Bopanna tweeted. Sania also congratulated Rahi Sarnobat and Anisha Sayyed, who won another gold for India in women''s 25-metre pistol pair event. Playback singer Shreya Ghoshal also expressed her happiness after the win, tweeting "Abhinav and gagan get our first gold. Fantastic!".
